ABOUT US

Greenwood Park Church of Christ is a multi-generational, multi-cultural church family in the heart of Bowling Green, KY. We are a Christ-Centered Community Changed by Grace — learning to follow Jesus together, love one another deeply, and engage our broken world with hope.

Our story began in 1930 as Park Street Church of Christ. In 1976, the church moved to Campbell Lane in the growing “Greenwood” area and became Greenwood Park Church of Christ, blending a rich heritage with a fresh vision for the future.

Today, we continue to gather on Campbell Lane — not just in a building, but as a people committed to worship, discipleship, fellowship, ministry, and mission. From children to seniors, students to young families, newcomers to long-time members — there’s a place for you here.

We’d love for you to come and experience what God is doing at Greenwood Park!

What We Believe:

God's Truths that Never Change

  • God is eternal — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
He created all things and rules with wisdom, power, and love.
    Genesis 1:1; John 1:1–3; 2 Corinthians 13:14

  • The Bible is God’s inspired story.
It reveals who God is, how He loves us, and His plan to renew all creation.
    2 Timothy 3:15–17; 2 Peter 1:19–21

  • God created us for relationship with Him.
Nothing can separate us from His pursuing love.
    Jeremiah 31:3; Romans 8:35–39

  • Sin breaks shalom and separates us from God.
We all need His grace and forgiveness.
    Isaiah 59:1–2; Romans 3:23

  • God saves us by grace through faith in Jesus alone.
His life, death, and resurrection give us new life.
    Ephesians 2:1–9; John 3:16; Romans 5:8

  • The Holy Spirit lives in believers.
He transforms our hearts, forms us into Christlikeness, and empowers our mission.
    Romans 8:9–11; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Galatians 5:22–25

  • Jesus calls us to follow Him daily.
We learn His way in community as we serve, share, and grow together.
    Matthew 4:19; 1 Peter 2:21

  • God is restoring all things.
Jesus will return to heal creation, defeat evil, and dwell with His people forever.
    John 14:2–3; Revelation 21:1–5

How We Follow Jesus Together

Our faith isn’t just something we believe — it’s a way of life we practice together.

  • We trust entirely in Jesus for salvation.
His grace is our hope and our identity.
    Acts 4:12; Romans 5:1–2

  • We are baptized into Christ.
In this moment of faith, God forgives, renews, and adopts us into His family.
    Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3–4

  • We gather at the Lord’s Table every week.
We remember His sacrifice, celebrate His presence, and renew our unity.
    1 Corinthians 11:23–26; Acts 20:7

  • We follow the leadership of shepherds.
Elders guide our discipleship and equip every believer for ministry.
    Acts 20:28; Ephesians 4:11–16

  • Every disciple has a role to play.
The Spirit gifts each of us to serve, love, and build up the body.
    1 Peter 2:9; 1 Corinthians 12:4–7

  • We pursue unity with all who follow Jesus.
The Kingdom is larger than any one church, tradition, or place.
    Luke 9:49–50; John 10:16

  • We honor our heritage while leaning into God’s future.
We celebrate the shoulders we stand on — and we keep stepping forward in faith.
    Hebrews 12:1–2
